  1. From a personal perspective, I don't 'do' social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc), just don't see the point, don't need lots of imaginary friends, or seek the approval of others with 'likes'.

However, discussing shooting related matters in my opinion is the purpose of forums (and long may they continue).

I use one of these as a range bag. Lots of space and water proof. Plus really cheap for what it is.

    Plenty to choose from.

I eventually purchased NGT Green Insulated Fishing Bag - NGT Online from Amazon, seems ideal for the money.

    Thanks for the recommendation.

I too bought the same bag for lumping various bits of stuff (rear bags, ammo, torx wrench, kestrel etc etc). I use it in addition to the AIM bags I use…which are very helpful (especially using backpack straps).

The above fishing bag I bought off Amazon I think.
its been really good, especially when it rains as the central compartment stays dry inside.
But I’ve found the zip recently went. I think I just overloaded it.
my next purchase will be a 4x wheel folding trolly/buggy. Easier on the shoulders of carrying two rifles plus mat plus range bag etc etc.

I have purchased the fishing bag from Amazon, if it's OK I will buy another for my son.

Thanks. Tried to purchase https://ngtonline.co.uk/shop/luggage/carp-coarse-fishing-tackle-bag-insulated-holdall-quality-ngt/, however had problems with the website (both PayPal and credit card). Maybe my security software was stopping payment?

A quick search for “range bags” will throw up a myriad of bags and manufacturers covering a wide range of prices, capacities and features such as 5.11, Orca, Rangemaxx etc.

My personal favourites remains “Maxpedition” I have three, but admittedly they are not the cheapest.

Always helpful to get a users opinion, sometimes just buying a name isn't the best option. However, I am a fan of Maxpedition kit. If you have three, all the same or different, also which ones do you use?

  6. I did use the search option but didn’t find any other threads. Therefore, what range bag are you using? I am currently using a rucksack, just it isn’t that easy to find anything, therefore looking for a range bag – what would you recommend?

Need to carry the usual: first aid kit, headphones, ammunition, waterproofs, small soft rear bag, flask, snacks, FAC wallet, notepad, pens, stapler, A4 waterproof folder, etc.

    Thank you.

Also to owners of the AT how do you find the quick change barrel, is it something you do often or do you find it’s such a faff re zeroing you stick to one caliber ?

I have an AI AT with three barrels, .308 (fitted when purchased), 6.5 Creedmoor [custom] and 6.5 Creedmoor factory). It is a very quick, simple and easy process to change the barrels which I do dependant on the competition, but I do have a torque wrench (one setting for the correct torque for an AT barrel).  However, you need to have the scope set for one barrel/calibre then log the difference. My rifle is zeroed for the 6.5 Creedmoor custom barrel (26" with muzzle brake), but the 6.5 Creedmoor factory barrel (26" no muzzle brake and is a much thinner barrel) shoots about 10MOA low and 5MOA left at 100 yards. If taking off one barrel and putting the same one back again there is no noticeable change in zero (or minimal at the most).

it will never happen here will it,!!!!seeing as the next government will probably be liebor,

Agreed, the thought of a Labour (i.e., communist [they are infected with Corbyn fans and Momentum]) government is absolutely terrifying (I am old enough to remember the winter of discontent and the last time that the Labour clowns were in government they nearly bankrupted the country [remember the letter they left "I'm afraid there is no money"])!

I love my AT.. but seeing all these AT-Xs makes me want one 😍

I too love my AT and initially wanted an AT-X as well, however reading a few threads from USA forums and speaking to someone who owns and AT-X at one of my clubs I am not so sure now. The problems seemed to be magazine and feeding issues and there was a photograph of broken bolt handle on the USA thread. Maybe these were early models?

Also, unless you are competing in precision rifle competitions which involves lots of quick moving (I am too old and move too slow) and lots of different shooting positions (ever other shooter would have fired the detail whilst I was moving :)), what would an AT-X offer that an AT doesn't/cannot do?
