This was good in my AR for plinking
https://www.thecountryman.com/hornady-223-55gr-fmj-training-ammunition-9754el
steel cases were a bit sticky but shouldn’t be a problem in a bolt action

Does anyone know if they still make the American eagle hollow point .223 ammunition?
i used it about 15 years ago and it was great in my tikka.

I bought a box of 50 Geco for £40 few weeks back so it's still on the go.
Is this soft point?

I have an older model(which I am also thinking of selling ). is there much difference between the old and the new?
The difference is paint texture. Older ones are smooth I believe.

The faster twist causes a better expansion of the bullet.

The 2156 is an updated 2155. Both have been referred to as Palma.
i would be working from product code.

How did you pick up on the issue?
The question being has the rifle been use? Could it have picked up a foreign object that caused the issue?

Is this a trade advert?

I have one of these. They are made by Alaska Guide Creations for Vortex. Very good quality pack.

Genuine AI £683
Atec fits upto 338 £499
Atec quoted 30 db sound reduction so very good compared to most others in the 27 db mark
And if you have any sound mod supplied by Jackson rifles to exchange you will get 40% off the cost of the A-Tec

Can't find prices on their website... how much we talking?
About £700 for the ratchet lock model I own.
I’m afraid I don’t know how much the AI .338 model is. But I expect it to be more than the ratchet lock as it is larger and will take longer to print.

I can't find a great deal of info on them. What they made out of and can they handle strings of 10-12 rounds of fire.
They are 3D printed from either Ti or Inconel. I have the smaller model which doesn’t go over the AI muzzle brake. It handles strings of fire with no hassle at all and it very quiet.

Dolphin gun company did one from me several years ago. Although that was an aftermarket barrel.
what make/model rifle are you looking to have the work carried out on?
I
currently have a 16” .308 with a very aggressively tapered barrel. Very light weight and provides very acceptable groups.

Definitely NOT the IRay RH50.
For the asking price it's rubbish
At the moment, the best "bang for your buck" thermal scope is the HIK MicroThunder TQ50
https://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/hik-micro-thunder-50mm-640px-riflescope-only-special-edition
It retails at £3k, but can be got for £2600 by just asking for some discount
Also, avoid anything made by ATN
The Pulsars are excellent, but pricey
If you want something for long range foxing, then the new Senopex 75mm thermal scopes from Blackwood Outdoors are the dogs danglies.
Cheers
Bruce
Bruce,
please can you elaborate on “long range” it’s quite subjective.
what will the senopax have over the HIK micro thunder TQ50 considering the similar pricing.

There is one made in the USA.

From reading several posts VAT is not being charged on items coming in from Canada.
I believe after we left Europe a trade agreement was made.

Mine 47 seams to like it ,
But i do prefer the 110 grn Lehigh controlled chaos not had a deer or fox take another step with that bullet.
110gr 6.5 and it’s called a controlled chaos, I have just taken delivery of a Sako 85 rebarreled by our own @Roninin 6mm creedmoor.
Had I known about this bullet I would have had another 6.5 creedmoor. He just loves it and how consistent it is.

I use N150 under Hornady ELD-M 130gr bullets.
I have shot a few fallow with this load but have to be honest they are very frangible and cause excessive damage on chest shots.
I would probably look for some more 120gr noslers and just replace the varget with N150.

Hi
Further to Tim’s comments above, I can add that Tiff is no longer involved in the IPRF. Should be an official statement shortly, websites updated, etc.
This is a positive. As it was Tiff who objected to any discussion on behalf of his then company on here.
I still object to participants fees being used to fund participants going to the “world championship” when the top shooters are sponsored in the first place.Keeping costs down makes it more accessible to new comers and is far more likely to grow the sport.
Elite athletes going to the Olympics have to find their own funding and I am sure the same goes for F class shooters attending international competition.

I use a praesidia when I’m on a range. Works pretty well. It’s only been down range once 🤣
