Until they do a one off limited run like the AW's and AWM's, then another, then another .........

    🤣

considering the action is the same for all the current short action rifles I can see limited runs of the AT.

  2. @ronin is right in his reply.

The work involved is pretty much the same as chambering a fresh barrel and it would require a re-proof.

Ronin did a straight 22-250 on a T3 for me a few years ago. It shoots 53gr in tiny groups.

shoot out the current barrel and then get AI on a fresh barrel.

I went with a lothar walther pre-Brexit. Prices have increased but not extortionate. Around £400.

Simon is starting it this Wednesday Dave , Had to take the 250 magnum primers to him   ( rocking horse sh-te) so fingers crossed couple of week , I will post data when all finished😁 I have no doubt it will put a smile on my face when I pull the trigger,  and Simom is so precise in what he does , and how professional he is .I'm in good hands👍

Glad I could be of assistance pal. I’m looking forward to the results.

when is comes to precision reloading I passed up on a supertrickler this week. Already regretting it but timing just wasn’t right.

I don’t blame you saving time by using Simon. More time to get out and shoot

@Scotch_eggWhilst the tubular forend is close to the barrel, the handgrip section of the AX and AXMC (where the balance point typically is) makes a significant height over bore. This equates to several inches when shooting off a bag.

I must say I’m not the biggest fan of the aesthetics of the vision and prefer the looks of Samb Ao chassis but that’s my own taste…

The balance point is definitely better I agree but the bipod location is worse off. Depends on what’s important.

I think you will find that vision actually are the Samb Forend producer for Europe. So that’s a Samb forend.

Yeah I get that. But if you already have an AW/AT/AX and want to upgrade it then it works out probably about the same with less hassle than having to sell and buy an AT-X.. the Vision looks better aswell and who cares if you hit anything as long as you look good doing it 😆

Don’t know about “upgrade” a change certainly.

The forend is as long way off the barrel compared to an AX tubular forend.

If you already own an AT or AX I can see why it’s an option.
