  1. Andrew, thanks for for your input, I have no idea of the history - the rifle was bought from MFL some time ago. the hole is 3-4mm deep and eccentrically tapered. by removing the magazine and inspecting the chamber area below the hole it appears that the chamber is unaffected. with regards to the fissure, it’s actually a car hair - the only marks on the surface are the light crossing marks from bullet feed.
  2. Here is the hole in question - any concerns?
  3. Hello, bought the above rifle some time ago from MFL firearms, it has a 2-3mm hole in the receiver at 12 o’clock. Doesn't appear threaded, and although I haven’t probed it, it doesn’t appear to go through to the chamber. Is this a gas vent hole - or has anyone come across this before? Thanks
  4. Reviving an old post but have people had issues with Tik Tac magazines and COAL in .223 and 6.5 CM? Am leaning toward a Varmint with it’s heavier profile barrel, fitted into a KRG bravo using accurate magazines which appear to have excellent room for COAL. Maybe be an issue over nothing!
  5. Have seen an RPA Interceptor in the above chambering for sale, 28 inch barrel but with a 1-9 twist. i was expecting a 1-8 to stabilise the 140 - ish grain bullets for long range. it appears that this twist is a RPA factory offering, is there a reason that 1-8 isn’t used by RPA for this chambering?
  6. Thanks guys, have a powerpack as standard however wanted to keep batteries in it to at least keep date and time going - not imperative. Didnt realise it was so low on batteries as hadn’t used it for more than a few minutes to attempt set up. i assumed the abrupt cut off was down to a firmware issue but alas battery death!
  7. Thanks John, seems to have done it, seemingly there has been battery drain whilst the unit has been bagged - time for fresh batteries but at least it’s not something more difficult!
  8. have messaged the company direct but no luck so chancing my arm here! it will only switch on intermittently, and when it does it isnt long enough to adjust settings! has fresh batteries and it's a brand new unit so understandably frustrated! any ideas?
  9. hi saddler - did you get a chance to send the p14 pics?

  10. Will be interesting to knock up some loads for the rifle, ELD-M isn’t cheap ammo, but the rifle / ammo / bipod combination outperformed my expectations. it was a good health check for my shooting, next time will try and adjust and hold for wind - although that will almost certainly mess things up spectacularly!
  11. Brand new PPU brass and freshly opened cutter. Hard brass may damage brass, but the steel arbor has been given a going over - perhaps particulates from the manufacturing process of either the brass or arbor.
  12. Indeed - not delighted and have no idea what the abrasive could be, gave the arbor a good clean before use in case there may be some steel particles from machining. am reloading for open sighted K31 so am confident that this shouldn’t be a show stopper.
  13. Hello, use the above tool without issue on .303, using the 7.5X55 and it is exhibiting marks which suggest the brass is digging a groove in the steel - which I’d imagine would be impossible? Thoughts please!
  14. It was an out of the box 6.5 Creedmoor Bergara HMR shooting factory 140 ELD-M - off a Harris Bipod. Didn’t try to adjust for wind just held centre and cracked on.
  15. Guys, Fired these groups at 1000 yards at Bisley - can anyone make clear the target / group size?
  16. Have used the OD suppressors on a few firearms, a 9x19 pistol, a .45 ACP pistol, a .45 ACP HK UMP, a 5.56 M4, a 5.56 VHS Bullpup, a 5.56 HK 53 and also on a .308 AI. They are very lightweight - titanium and inconel, and do a good job during automatic fire. Those are my 2 pennies.
