Morning all,

I’ve got an SSG 69 10rd .308 magazine I have no need for anymore. I bought it as ‘New, Old Stock’ - it does have some marks and slight wear on but is in very good condition with no cracks etc. 

I’d like £160 posted for it please. More photos available on request.

What do you want it to do? Most effective at sound reduction, or moderate the noise of the shot to an acceptable level and be lightweight, or last forever? 
 

Also, are you in a rush? I’m helping out with a new moderator design and our plan is to have them available for the AI tactical brake. Not sure on a timeframe though.

I’m biased in that I sell it (proceeds going to charity) on Stalking Directory but I’ve not heard any negative feedback from my 50+ sales and I’ve not had an issue using it myself!

Yep, sorry, I was wrong! My friend has a cheapish one as it was manufactured from the off with a less than 24” barrel.

He’s pretty sure Uberti do a coach gun - might be worth exploring.

I’m not 100% on this but I think you can have a S2 shotgun cut down by an RFD then proofed as a S1. I’ll ask a mate tomorrow who should know though!

I’m not the OP but this will fit on an AR15 buffer tube. So you’d normally fit it to an AR10/15 of some sort, or a rifle chassis that can accept an AR buffer tube. Something like the MDT LSS, for example. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the review. Not sure I can justify that much on a bipod though! Tempted to get some upgraded feet for my Harris - anyone got any experience with any Harris spiked feet?

Problem is, as with anything, you need to compromise to achieve both long lasting and quality. For both of those you’ll probably have a relatively high (£5-600+) RRP.

Mods, like barrels, are consumables. The quality (ie, efficacy/greatest sound attenuation) is what I’ve been working on with a couple of RFDs up in Yorkshire recently.

What length is the .308 barrel? And is it threaded M18x1.5?

What twist rate are you going for? I’d suggest a 1:11; I don’t think my 1:12 will work well with anything heavier than a 175gr bullet.
