If I was buying new dies I'd get a Whidden custom set or a forster micrometer seater and a full length die with the neck honed to suit.

I always use moa and can't see myself changing. I never liked ffp reticle scopes either. All my hunting scopes have custom turrets so I just range and dial as needed.

Would these units work better with a high end scope like Zeiss for daytime recording ?

I think the fix involves bushing the firing pin hole to a smaller size and honing the pin to suit rather than fitting an oversize pin.
Again and per my earlier post...talk to Neil McKillop.
Maybe. I don't really know but Holland's also sell an oversize pin that they say will solve the cratering issue but they don't ship outside USA. I did see some positive reviews online.

Pacifictoolandguage sell an oversized firing pin for the Remington 700 which should solve the problem. Shipping costs are expensive though.

I do believe it's a Remington thing. My Remmy 204 does the same thing with all of my loads.
Anyone know how much it costs to get the bolt sorted ?

Thanks David.

One came down the chimney a 5-50x56 I have yet to fit it to a rifle but must say that It looks like it will do the bizz. Very clear sight picture super fine ret and an iluminated centre dot that seems to be half the size of my Sightron S3.
Hi David
Could you give us some more info on your new scope.
What are the optics like. How does it compare to your sightron ?

These calibres are all great for what you want.
My personal favourite is the 204 because there is no recoil and I can see my hits through the scope.

I quite fancy a 22br myself. Is there much work in prepping the brass ?
I assume you just run the 6mm brass through a 22br full length die or do you have to neck turn as well.
