What do you think of the timney 2 stage triggers Dave ? 

This story reminds me of my mate who was going out with a woman for around six months. 

He was over in her place one day when she said to him , 

Do you not think it's time you got rid of those guns and settled down.

He stood up and said, I think it's time i was out of here. 

He walked out the door and never went back. 

If the rifle is shooting well in the sporter stock I dont think a chassis will make it shoot any better.

I have a tikka ctr and I changed the stock for a krg bravo chassis. The rifle shot well in the factory stock and accuracy didn't change when I put it in the bravo.

I love the bravo chassis though and the rifle is a lot more comfortable to use.

The tikka sporter stock is a lovely stock and the shape looks very similar to my sako trg which I like as well. 

Some chassis do have slots to add on rails, bipods etc so if you plan on doing this it might be worth it, otherwise  I wouldn't bother. 

Another option would be to buy a tikka t3 doner action and have it rebarreled to whatever spec you wanted and stick it in a krg bravo chassis. 

Any chance you could borrow a set of rings of someone to try first.

That would give you an idea of what height you need. 

A lot of the rails are different heights so it's hard to recommend something.

If your going to be shooting boar stick with the 308

I also use 155 amax with 45.5 grains of n140.  I also use 150sst with the same load. Both work great. 

I never used the bifrost but I  did use the berserk and laminated stocks but didn't like them. What mag system are you going to use ? 

My choice would be a krg bravo chassis and one of the mdt 6mm br magazines.

My mate is using one of the new Mdt 6mmbr mags in his Remmy action 6mmbr rifle and it feeds well so they should be ok for the 20br as well 

The 55 grain Berger bullet is discontinued.  

The cheekpiece is rock solid. I use mine with a bipod and a simple filled rear bag  so I don't know how it would track with a proper front and rear rest.

I'm sure you will like it. I'm seriously thinking of selling my sako quad so I can buy a tikka T1X and put another bravo stock on it. 

I have two of them. One on a Remington 700 varmint and another on my tikka t3x ctr. I really like them. Very comfortable stock to shoot with and they use aics mags which feed flawlessly. 

I also think 337 is to little. 

I use a forster full length die with the neck honed to .335 and then I use a .307 mandrel.   It works very well and  the mandrel is working very little. A .336 bushing will probably be ok but it might be safer getting a .335 .

While I always love to see someone winning such as Dan, and his most excellent achievements, I always find it laughable that people will only seem to take notice of a barrel, once someone wins an F class comp with one.

I've used Sassen/Border barrels for many years. Set british records with them, and had countless numbers of major customer wins with them.

Accuracy International have used them for years , with the enviable reputation for repeatable accuracy , their rifles have.

Buy one with confidence, its an excellent, British made product.

 

Is there much price difference between the button and cut barrels Dave ?  And do you think the cut rifled ones are better ? 

Well if there good enough for a FTR champion there definitely  good enough for me 😊

I am going to rebarrel one of my rifles soon and I was thinking of using a sassen cut rifled barrel. 

Just wondering if anyone is using one or if anyone has any info on them. 

2650 with hornady 143eldx with book max load of R16 in lapua brass.

I emailed teslong yesterday asking them if they would produce a rod type Borecam and they replied saying they will be releasing one soon. 

I got mine a few days ago. It's  better than my Lyman one that cost me £285 a few months ago.  My mate bought one a few weeks ago but it wasn't working properly so he emailed them and they sent him out a new one straight away. 

I full length size as well. 

My sako quad has Torx screws but they are too short as well.

You could try Gmk to see if they have anything or have a look on eBay. 

It should drop in.  I don't think there is any difference in the size of the recoil lugs, it's just that the T3 lug is made of alluminum and the T3x is made of steel.

You can get a picatinny rail for the sako quad and then use any quick release picatinny rings
