  1. I have a david tubb speedlock firing pin assembly here for a R 700.

I ordered 3 of them for myself and 2 mates .

I had mine in my 204 but when I used cci br4 primers I would get the odd one that failed to ignite on firing.

It never happened with any other brand of primer.

My mates never had any issues with theirs in a 220 swift and a 308.

Anyway its sitting in a drawer here so your welcome to it if you want to try it.

  2. After buying a Tikka T1x and putting a krg bravo chassis on it I wanted a decent scope that I could use for hunting, targets and steel targets at longer ranges.

I ended up buying a zeiss V4 6-24x50.  Its the model with the zero stop and locking windage turret and ZMOAI-T20 reticle.  Parralax goes down to 10 yards.

Its an expensive scope for a 22 but I love it.

    Bummmm .

Seen an article in sporting rifle on subs and eley came out top - no surprise?? . Rws second . I’ll try to find it as it might mention the speeds .

That was a few years ago with the old green box eley subs.

They were great but the new ones are terrible

  4. Your objective bell should measure 58.4mm so your objective will be sitting 14.2mm lower than the bottom of your scope tube.

You will need a ring height of 19 or 20 mm to give the clearance you want.

Some rings give measurements from the bottom of the tube to the top of the rail and some give the measurement from the centre of the tube to the top of the rail.

If the measurement is from the centre of the tube you will need a height of 34 or 35mm.

  5. My mate has a S20. There was an issue with the front rail slot that was out of spec so he used the next slot which was fine.

No issues with the magazine, it feeds great.

It is also a very accurate rifle but i wouldn't swap my tikka ctr in a bravo chassis for one.

I would go for the stainless tikka as i have seen and heard of barrel pitting issues with the carbon steel versions.

  6. I don't think you will get them in the UK.

They won't ship internationally either but I just got a set posted to Ireland  using the Irish Addresspal service.  This works as they give you a US address to use and they forward them on to you for a fee.

I'm sure you must have a similar service in the UK.

They are great caps  although they are quite noisy when opening and closing if that would be a concern.
