Does anyone have any experience of the .17hmr specific mod that he makes, is it a reflex type and how does it perform? I've had a SAK on mine since I got it about 4 years ago, and I'm in the notion of trying something different.

I know it's probably not the best measure of accuracy, but through my 10/22, Eley subs have been the most accurate so far. Remington subs were absolutely shocking.

We had a real problem with them last year. Early mornings, there could be upwards of 20 in the yard at one time, eating the cattle feed. Took somewhere around 40 of them last year, and up until recently this year, they'd been giving our yard a wide berth, but over the last few weeks they've started pecking at the windows of the house at about 5.30 in the morning. Took the first 2 of the year earlier this week with the hmr.

I have a cz 452 .17hmr with a 20" barrel that I'm thinking of getting shortened down to perhaps 14" for shooting out of the motor. Can anyone recommend someone with a good rep, that does this and has a pretty quick turn around time? Cheers David
