No i deer
I've been prepping 100 new cases as the weather stopped my work today. Uniforming the primer pockets is hard work.there are a tight fit and it' hard to keep hold the cases preventing it from slipping.are they always this tight...? As Ive started I will finish them.i am thinking it would of been better to do them after there first firing
The Gun Pimp
Yes - it's best to do the primer-pockets AFTER the first firing. If you do it on un-fired brass, as you say, they are tight and you risk opening them up slightly - which you don't want to do as slack primer pockets will often be the reason you scrap your brass after a few firings. No i deer
Thanks Vince.i will abandon the pocket uniforming then.ive never known them this tight before but I've never used new Norma brass before.at £1.50 per case they need to last .Norma must of made them that fraction smaller to help against loose pockets.
