Rem 700 Bottom Metal

Evening.

Chaps, I'm looking for a bit of advice.

I've recently purchased a new GRS Berserk stock for my Bergara sa (Rem 700 footprint). I want to use a new bottom metal for this stock. Ideally I would like one that will allow me to use AI mags or such like.

Do you have any recommendations and/or opinions on what to use?

I think atlas works and magpul may give you options for the AI mags off the top of my head, no doubt there will be other options

The Berserk stock won't take an AI mag bottom metal without major fettling,

Make contact with Staffordshire synthetic stocks. They have a bottom metal that closely resembles the factory remmington inlet. It should require minimal work.

You could order directly from Atlasworx. They are good to deal with. We use atlasworx since years. There are two different release lever types on the rem floor plate.

The bottom metal/fitting isn't the problem. You need to be certain the action will accept the mag. Because its rem footprint only means the screws and lug will be in the same place.

 

Whichever dbm you pick [ i use 3rd eye ] it needs the dbm bolting to the gun, OUT of the stock, with its supplied pillars, to see if the mag will insert up into the action, and feed.
