Torque Screwdriver / Allen key set

Recommended Posts

Just bought a Sealey torque screwdriver off amazon £39.95 and a cheap security bit set for about £5.50ish. Well pleased with the torque driver (up to 5nm) which is plenty for rings and bases.....security bit set is cheap and cheerful but so far ok.

I'm using a 'Wheeler' 'Fat Wrench', I've found it does the job fine for me. Use it to assemble everything.

I have a Wheeler torque screwdriver, but generally I carry a pair of torque limiters in my rifle case, these are set for 55 inch/lbs (action screws) and 12 inch/lbs for scope rings etc.

Torque limiters are available firearm-specific from Borka Tools in the US, but these are very expensive. An alternative (which I use) are those intended for cycle use (same things but mre compact and easier to use) from Toppeak Nano Torquebar https://www.topeak.com/global/en/products/tools
