Ronin
I use Barnes TSX quite a bit for cull work. However, I'm not happy with consistency re accuracy box to box. Suggestions for alternative please - I'm arranging for some GS Customs from the Netherlands. I know Bernie Montana was making LTS a while ago - now i can't find his website, Anyone any other suggestions - Lutz Moeller - is he still making them? Anyone delay with these in the NL by the way - http://www.t2ammo.com/index.php/
desparado
Lutz Moeller is certainly still in business, making loaded ammo now as well. If it is of any interest, I've got a few hundred Lost River Ballistics solids in various calibres from .22 to 7mm. Looking to offload them for pocket money. Cheers. ejg223
Ronin, Sax Bullets (fragmenting type) from Germany, or STL (expanding type) is just testing his new designs. I'll meet STL next week and will see how far he is, might be able to get you a few samples. edi

Ronin
Cheers guys. Ive used Barnes extensively. Had a reply from Tiemens and Tiemens already (30 minutes from sending email), so should now be sorted. Interesting to hear Lutz is still going, I used a few LM 105's when I had the 338 - they were incredible, Im aware of the US and OZ manufactures, but they are damn hard to get here. Which is why I was asking for european source. I need a reliable expanding non lead projectile for a job - hopefully the GS Custom HV will be more reliable than the Barnes. brown dog
Genuine question: Why the non-lead requirement?

Ronin
Thanks Mik / Mike I'll call you this week Ive had a reply re GS Customs now too - possibly a reliable source at last! Matt - the landowner requires the use of Non lead ammunition, so I've got to use copper. I usually use Barnes, but they differ so much from lot to lot I want an alternative that doesn't. desparado
Cheers Des, are the LRB designed to expand, I need hunting application for specific task that must be copper only.. No, they are not designed to expand. LRB did make expanding ones, but these are just plain solids. I'm amazed at the number of makers of solids now, seems to be a growing market. Wiltshire Boy
I use these in pretty much all of my hunting rifles, excellent consistency in manufacture and excellent performance on game. http://www.ssm-bullets.com/ssm/ Cheers Rich
