sir-slots-alot
Hi Chaps. I have been using my 17 Rem quite abit lately and getting more confident with as a long ( ish) range calibre. So I headed for the hills on Saturday , to put my Tikka 595 17 rem through its paces at long range. Eased myself in with a spot of 300 yrd shooting at 5 inch and 2 inch steel plates. Other than having to pay careful attention to the wind - every shot was rewarded with the immediate sound of of copper on steel. With confidence high - I put some targets out at over 500 yards ( 515 yrds to be exact ) Video'd the event - as is the custom in these parts (Watch on big screen mode) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qecNYE-sj9E ..... Redfox
Nice going, a good indication of the 17s ability if you know it. Redfox

alled12
Nice shooting. What weight of bullet are you using? Its not a 17 but my 20 is going to get a bit of run out at that distance.
Alycidon
Poor baby bunny, someone left a couple of ballons up for my party and they got busted !! Bloody good shooting, the stick shot was exceptional especially as there seemed a bit of wind if the remanants of the ballons are anything to go by,. sir-slots-alot
Thanks for the comments chaps. The tricky bit is reading the wind with these tiny little bullets. ATB Alan

sir-slots-alot
Hi Flix, Yes they are a loverly little rifle. The wind was gusting from 6 to 9 mph.... Nothing too serious , but it made it challanging anyway. ATB Alan
