Stuck case

Got my Forster co ax press this morning and been playing all day.

 

However bashed out a few .243 cases in my 7-08 lee dies. After 7 passes I got one stuck solid

 

 

What do i do?

Buy or loan or send your die to someone with acase extraction kit and ask for help.

 

I have one but am a bit far and you can make them up easily, I think there was a thread somewhere 'bouts showing a home made one. I got a buddy to get me mine from Canada for $13 I think Reloading Sol sell them for £20+ which is almost the cost of a new die in some makes.

If its a Lee die don't you just undo the top nut retaining the decapping pin.

Then just tap the decapping assembly with a hammer until case is removed?

Check on Lee sight I'm sure the decapping assembly is designed to do this.

By the way why did you do this in the first place?

Thanks for the replies folks. Sorted with the tapping method.

 

I didn't pass the same piece of brass through 7 times. I should have said after resizing 7 pieces of brass the 7th one got stuck.

I don't believe it... I got a case stuck and wrecked my die without realising there was a video and it cost me a new set of dies
