The shoot will be on Bank Holiday Monday May 31st Registration will close at 9.30am Ten rounds required - 3 shots at 100/300/500 yards on the groundhog target, then one shot at the egg at 500 yards. Targets can be inspected after each distance Entry fee is £5.00 if you are not a Diggle member, the Range Fee is £15 Prizes - £100 for Egg breakers, stage prizes plus annual trophies. Small group awards. Special award for best 'out of the box' factory rifle score. Rules? There are none - any rest, rifle, scope, calibre (up to 338 Lap Mag.) Ronin Posted May 15, 2010 Report Share Posted May 15, 2010 For those that decide to make the trip to Diggle for the Egg shoot, its well worth the effort. The prairie dog target is fun at 100, 300 and 500, its interesting to see how your grouping is (or isn't) at each distance. The egg is a test, your shots are marked so if you miss you can see at the end how far off you were. For those that break the egg the cheers of your fellow competitors (and the lolly) must feel good. As Darryl has said, Vince and his helpers work very hard to make the day seamless and fun. Its worth the effort to make the trip, the round count is low (10) so you wont spend lots of money on ammo. The craich is good, if the weather holds its a great day out. A real pity I cannot make it, but I am away. Hope all who attend enoy it. I will be there for the Fly though...
