Elwood
Before or after the first shot? I have heard recently from several sources that primer pockets should be uniformed after the first shot, something to do with brass flow? Can anyone clarify? Pity it has to be done at all, it's by far and away the worst part of case prep.
alled12
I have seen it done in both circumstances. It really depends on the brass your using. If its good quality then you will probably have to check it after the first firing. Get a uniforming tool you can put in a drill and the job will be a lot quicker. Once a rifle is fired the brass will flow to any room in the chamber in all directions, you will get some movement, it depends on how hot your loads are as well. It also depends on how religous you want to be in your case prep. A couple firings will probably not do to much to the primer pockets.

foxing2night
K&M tool The worst cut is the first, then it just does a nice clean up before reloading!!!!!! I do not use a drill as it can spin the tool to fast???? Better off with a low speed screwdriver,,,,, Better clean than dirty!!!!!! Darrel
