Haven`t decided which toy to use but it probably will be the .308 Sako, last time it was shooting one inch low which cost me points. Must get a lift up to the range for a check. I am getting an `all terrain scooter` next week so I may be able to get up for a practice shot under my own steam. Being a partially sighted 77 year old is not good news. HWH. I got the `all terrain buggy` from Sheffield on Wed. and it is doing very well. I have everything sorted for Sundays shoot I think, just hoping that the weather will be kind to us. HWH. stag1933
As expected weather was perfect with light wind. Turnout of riflemen was not as high as expected with one competitor arriving late during prize-giving. This event was the Chris Batty memorial shoot with 12 shots and a course of fire similar to the DMQ shooting test. 3 shots on a grouping target at 100 yds and 9 shots on the Roebuck at various distances. Results, leading five persons, ex 120 points :- !. Zaitsev. 117 [ 90+27.] 2. K. Atkinson. 116 [ 89+27.] 3. stag1933. 115 [ 86+29.] 4. E. Neasham. 115 [ 88+27.] 5. P. These 19s took some sorting out as there was only a gnats knacker in difference. The free raffle for a bottle of malt was won by entrant No. 10, Phillip Gee. All in all a good day. My thanks to those who acted as range officers etc. The next shoot is `The Bill Grant Memorial` on August 15th. HWH.
DL.
Ratswhiskers "This guy's addicted to PMII's" Zaitsev "Well I've only got one, but I really want another....." God I laughed. Maybe I'll bring an accurate rifle next time, and see what happens!

Finman
hi folks, this was my first time in the Border Stalkers Shoot, and what a great time was had by all! The weather played along, the company was jovial and the shooting was good too! Sincerest thank you to HWH for putting the event together, in his words 'insulting everyone' and keeping the spirits high. Look forward to the next one! best wishes, Finman
