between the eyes Posted January 11, 2010 Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 Help please, I am after buying an after market trigger for my Howa .308, I have had a Timney in a Howa 223 and it was superb, are the Rifle Basix worth a look and whilst it's a lot more money is the Jewell worth the extra, it's not target shooting just my stalking rifle. We bought 100 units when Bob first brought them out, then we sent them back. The safety didn,t work, as the trigger could still be tripped if pulled hard. Apparently they were tested with a 10lb weight, and that is deemed good enough in the states ! Not bloody good enough here....back they went. Bob then revamped the unit, and its now flawless. If i remember correctly, its available in a standard sporting weight, and also a light weight varmint trigger too. Better trigger than the timney.
