Just watching the 10 O'clock News.

Stunned to see the BBC (What does the first 'B' stand for?) trying to sh't stir events at Al Amarah in 2004.

Full-on war-fighting and we're allowing lawyers to attempt to apply the rules that would apply to a fight outside a chip shop in Brighton.

Taking the word of our enemies over those of our own troops.

In whose interest is such broadcasting (or politics)? This is nothing more than propaganda for our enemies.

I despair :)

Watched the same article in bemusement and sadness.

The Beeb (like all media) play for viewers whatever the circumstances or facts.

I was not aware of the incident or circs surrounding it - from the sounds of it, if there were "fixed bayonets" then the fighting would be grim, bloody and very unpleasant.

The simplistic view (from me) is that it was battle conditions, people die and are injured and then die or are captured.

Body recoverey for identification, yep have that as its good intelligence gathering, plus at least the bodies were recovered and not left for the scavengers to pick over.

This matter has already been investigated by RMP, it should be underlined there.

The media should be supporting what the troops are doing there, not undermining them.
