Diggle 600yd BR Success for UKVarminting Members

Recommended Posts

Just a note to advise that a couple of forum members took a 1, 2 in Factory Sporter class at last Sunday's PSSA 600yd Precision (benchrest) comp at Diggle.

Foxing2night put up his usual form with the Accuracy International now factory rebarrelled to 6.5X47L taking FS class 1st and smallest group with a 4-group average of 4.656" including an amazing 2.225". (Remember this is 600 yards!) That was actually the 2nd smallest group of the day.

Mole-e30 took 2nd place using a Savage 12 F rifle in 6.5-284 and agged 5.483".

In overall place terms, that came out as 8th and 11th from a field of 30, so a lot of custom gun owners beaten there!

For those who wanted to go but couldn't make it, we had a great day, superbly organised as always by Vince Bottomley (who came 3rd overall as well), had a lunch of burgers cooked on the firing point by Jack Searle and Eddie Robinson, and were very lucky with the weather - bright, dry and not too windy.

Next 600yd BR comp is 27th December.

Well done Darrell and Bruce.

Had a fantastic day to say the least,,,

I must admit that Adrian nearly gave me hight blood preasure!!!!!

And when Bruce came on the radio and asked if i was firing,,,

As Adrain was off to one side,, But on my target if you know what i mean??

I nearly died????

But it was a very good day out.

I would like to thank all the lads and girls that ran the comp!!!

With never a problem????

I also broke the ukbra record of 2.5,,, set by Dave Wilds (Baldie) mate guss

My best group was 2.225

So Laurie could you ask vince if he realized what i had done???

All the best Darrel :(
