Ronin
Budget will be the deciding factor here. Plenty of reasonable scopes from Leupold, Sightron, IOR under a grand. Budget over and your into Nightforce, Schmidt & Bender, Swarowski, Zeiss Hensolt territory. You can easily shoot 1000 yds with a 10 power, its easier with a 16 or higher magnification, especially if the traget is small. Buy the best quality you can afford, usualy with quality optics come reliable and accurate scope turret ajustments, which, if you are seeking the long range grail, you will need also. Plenty of reports on various scopes on here.
Guest Sprags
Hi and welcome to Uk Varminting. I currently use a Leupold VXIII 6.5-20X50 LR and it suits me fine for the longer range stuff! Regards,Sprags
nemasis243
Welcome to the site, as Ronin has said it down to how much you want to spend, its very daunting when you purchase a rifle and then think of putting a tidy scope on the top that will run you from £500 upwards ,but you will find the beniifts with tidy glass, Anyhow good luck with what ever you get and good shooting, ATB Andy
