Sakoboomstick
just after some more opinions to cement my gut feeling, in a 243 AI barrel, only planning to shoot between 68 and 87 gn bullets, what twist and groove would suit these weights to get the most out of its potential........ 17 Rem
I have a 1 in 10 on my .270 necked 243AI and currently use 68 grain bullets. My plan has always been to shoot nothing other than 68 grain Bergers/ G and C's and 87 grain Hornadys. My barrel is a sporter weight Pac-Nor, fitted by Dasherman to a Sako A2 action. It's pillar bedded in a Bell and Carlson synthetic stock and is shooting 1/4" groups during fireforming. I'm delighted with it.
