ruger 10/22 magnum...any good

Hi Folks,just wondered what your thoughts are on the 10/22 magnum,I have the opportunity of getting this ,from a friend,he has now given up shooting.

 

what are the pros and cons and costs of ammo

Scarce in these parts! I have a friend who has one who loves it. I just gave away a Green Mountain custom barrel for a 10/22 magnum... that shot well too, I guess.~Andrew

I used a CZ in 22magnum calibre and it was a brilliant round.

I have had a couple WMR's and I enjoyed this calibre , The WRM is good for at least 150 yrds for bunnies , crows etc.

 

As you would expect from a rimmie , virtually no recoil , not to loud ( compared to a CF ), good accuracy and all this without the mither of reloading

 

 

On the downside - They bounce ... had a few spectacular richocets .. this was the main reason i binned the calibre.

 

I believe there is some frangible ammo available now .. but never used them so I can't comment.

I have seven 22WMR and the CZ is my favorite... certainly one of the most accurate, too.~Andrew
