ejg223
Nosler seems to have come out with a new 105gr 243 match bullet. The HPBT Custom Competition is rated with a BC of .593 quite a bit higher than the 105 a-max with .500 I found with the 52 gr 22 cals the Nosler match bullets were much more consistent in weight and length than the a-maxes. They shot tighter groups and were cheaper. nosler Anybody have an idea if a standard 243 remmy sporter 9 1/8 twist will stabalise a 105 grainer? edi
Vermincinerator
Hi edi, Standard 243 twist will stabilise 100grn factory ammo but may not stabilise long 105grn VLD style bullets
Guest varmartin
Hi edi, .. My standard R700 VLS had a 1- 9 +1/8 twist and would stabilize a 105 grain Amax no problem ( pushed hard ) but a 107 matchking would not hit a barn door. I can confirm also as Vermincinerator has posted ...they will not with a 105 vld ....my findings only ....not at local altitudes any way ...
