Magazine conversion

Hi I have a mdt ess long action chassis tikka t3 this uses long action magazine for up to 300 win mag, rifle has now been rebarrel in 6mmbr, I can use this as a single feed, but looking to know can a long action magazine be converted to feed 6mmbr, I know its possible with shot action magazine but has anyone ever converted a long action magazine,

Not sure it’s viable without some kind of reducing spacer set up that would lock into the existing long action mag inlet and hold the short action magazine 

 

The alternative is to alter a long action magazine which would also be problematic

 

Thr simple and sensible option would be to sell the chassis and buy a short action one that’s suitable for the cartridge

Hi ronin thanks for the reply, I was hoping that I could adapt the long action magazine to feed but I think it's not possible, will try and sell and buy a short action I see mdt now make magazine for 6mmbr,
