Elwood
You need the Hornady ogive comparator. The one Spud has put up measures head space and is a very worth while addition, actually I would say its a must, but you need the ogive comparator for seating depths. This is what you need to find out your maximum ogive http://www.hornady.com/story.php?s=

PeteL
Dwight, When you ask for a way of measuring your chamber, I presume you mean the overall maximum loaded cartridge length so that you can set the bullet a known distance off the lands?. For some info on how to measure your overall maximum cartridge length, go to: centrefireuk.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1007 You can also use the Sinclair Comparator, which is excellent. To measure the actual chamber, ie, from the base to the mouth of the case, try: www.varmintal.com/arelo.htm He has instructions on that very topic.
