UKBR22 Rules:

Scoring Plugs

All shots which cannot be scored by visual scoring will be checked by a certified .22 plug and marked on the target with a โ€œPโ€ to indicate.

Benchrest UK rules:

ย

SCORING

BEST EDGE SCORING WILL BE USED IN SCORING BENCHREST UK TARGETS

ALL SHOTS WHICH CANNOT BE SCORED BY VISUAL SCORING WILL BE CHECKED USING A CERTIFIED .22 PLUG AND THE TARGET WILL BE MARKED WITH A P TO INDICATE THIS

Thank you 2dogs,

this all started with a county scorers course but the more Iโ€™m getting into the details more I see different rules for different comps, eg difference between BR, NSRA and ISSF rules, even on how a target is noted on to show gauging.

Have now accumulated some plug gauges and overlays

Hi Terry

I have also found the various rules, for effectively what is the same discipline, different in lots of respects such as rifle build, scope magnification, rest specifications and so on.

A number of BR shooters I know just pick and stick with one governing bodies rules,ย makes life a lot simpler.

Take care.
