Tactical stock for a .338 Win Mag rifle

Hi All

I am inclined to get a .338 Win Mag for my .338 cal rifle instead of .338 LM.

But all .338 Win Mags I found (that doesn't break the bank) are in Sporting stock. Either Ruger M77 or Winchester XPR.

Does anyone knows of a Tactical stock that can house a .338 Win Mag?

Depends really on what action you are planning to buy.

There are numerous "tactical" style stocks available from a variety of manufacturers - you would need an action whom they provide an inlet for

Thanks Ronin for your reply.

I was looking at Winchester XPR and Ruger M77.
Any ideas for those actions?

As an idea, I have found that MDT makes ESS for XPR. But it is £1055 stock only. With approx £420 for XPR rifle will make it close to what a S/H rifle is on the market already.

Maybe I am not realistic in my expectations?

Not sure where your getting that price from

MDT ship direct and at the current exchange rate the EsS works out at £570 before shipping

I’ve never had any issue ordering direct from them

Highlands Outdoors

I'll get in touch with MDT and see what they have in stock.

Where do I find them?

Can you give me a link please?

MM Beatle on this or SD forum supplies Atlasworx in the UK. Or go directly Atlasworx Australia. If you go chassis you probably won't need a mag system. Just with wood or composite.

I wasn't asking about Atlas work, I found them and loads other chassis for Remi 700 or clone.

I was asking about Remington 700 or clone action and barrel. I can't seem to find a dealer. Maybe I am asking the wrong question in Google search?

All those I found, like McAvoy guns and etc only goes up to 300 Win Mag.
