ejg223
Would someone know the diameter of the muzzle on a remmy sporter? Would I be able to fit M15x1 thread at the standard 24" or if I chop it to 22". Thinking of getting a 243 sps sporter stainless. Thanks edi
Ronin
Hi Edi I have a .243 SPS here, the muzzle measures .660" (OD) M15x1mm thread OD is .590" If the stainless version is the same profile, you will be ok I think. The rifle I have measured is a "G" suffix J lock and about 6 months old.
eldon
Its not giving you much of a shoulder at those numbers. Theres not even a 1 mm step ? Not sure I would go for that.
ejg223
Thanks Ronin & Eldon. If it would have the theoretical shoulder of 0.88mm it would be ok but I think the mod will have a bit of 45deg shamfer and therefore reduce surface. Better measure when I have all the bits. edi
Ronin
Aggreed Eldon, I personally would look to a M14x1mm thread for that diameter tube. But, the M15 would still fit - albeit with reduced shoulder.
