Roy W
Is the picatinny rail on an AT integral to the action or bolted onto it? If bolted on, is the action the standard 11mm dovetail that AI are famous for or is it flat topped? Thanks
Scotch_egg
It is bolted on and no longer uses the 11mm dovetail. I was rather disappointed that they stopped using the dovetail. I would have like to be able to use the Spuhr ISMS for AI.
Roy W
So the receiver is now flat topped with the picatinny bolted onto it? Were the AW's dovetailed and any rails bolted onto that, or did flat top receivers begin with the AT?
Scotch_egg
Flat top started with the Pre 14 AX I believe. The AT does indeed have a flat top and is the same action as the AX308. The AW had the dovetail and a picatinny rail could be bolted on.
