kip270
Here is some footage of the Uk Drifting scene, been to a few events last year, and looking forward to going this year, some truly amazing driving..... http://www.vimeo.com/1805320?pg=embed&sec=1805320
Redfox
Drifting is ok but any half decent rally driver would show these lads up, do a youtube search on mikka hirvoen etc. I have seen him and Colin McCrae and other top lads put on demos. One of the hardest forms of driving is BTRDA Autotests, as it has to be absolute precision and a complex course has to be learned and followed exactly (in a very short time of memorising a drawing) and against the clock. Looks easy when this lad does it but having competed a long time back, believe me it really isnt. there are plenty of others there as well , him and his brother etc.redfox
n8ess
Reminds me of the days in my RS2000 with the mandatory fishnet recaros of course, the only difference being that man can drive a car where as I just thought I could

Guest northernchris
Redfox Quality link,i was very luck to have a run out in Ari Vatanens Rothmans MK2 Escort when our boss Dave Richards had it down the workshop for abit of TLC. splendid
Redfox
I really liked the mk2, my brother and I both had the RS2000 versions ( I had a TC MK1 before that) He left his as std but I reworked mine quite a bit including blueprinting the engine which cost plenty. It was always said a proper blueprint added 15bhp plus of course smoothness and reliability which I would agree with. I left it at just short of 200bhp due to funds and not wanting monthly rebuilds. It was very driveable and responsive and really more sensible than the first turbo cars that followed. I was then seduced by a Lancia Integrale, which I have to say was very good but like most italian beauties "high maintenance" and wanted access to all my spare cash Redfox

eldon
I had a nice bright yellow and black 1600 sport mk 2 that went pretty well. Use to run out of revs around 6600. Had the compulsory x4 cibie oscars on the front and we use to chase the road rallies round.... those were the days, 2 or 3 speeding tickets in one night were standard to some folk? not me of course, i was doing 60 in the open bits officer
