0284
For Sale - Dakota Longbow T76 338 Lapua MagnumI bought this rifle in haste to shoot at Gardners Guns at Eskdalemuir but was not permitted a variation due to lack of experience so the rifle has been sat in storage ever since. So I decided to sell it to go towards funding a new F Class Rifle. It has been rebarreled by Mik Maksimovic at Dolphin Precision and has only fired 46 rounds including load development. The barrel is a Bartlein 1-9” Twist, 27” long with straight fluting and has been ceracoated in matte black to match the action. The barrel is screw cut to accommodate a removable Dolphin Custom Muzzle Brake. The stock is a McMillan A2 with adjustable cheek piece. The action is a Dakota Longbow T76 and has a 20MOA rail fitted. The rifle has been load developed with Berger 300gr OTM Tactical bullets and comes with all the load data. It comes with 100 pieces of Lapua Brass, Forster Ultra Micrometer Seater Die, Redding Type S Neck Bushing Die, Redding FL Sizing Die and a selection of bullet heads (35 x Berger 300gr OTM, 130 x Sierra 300gr Matchking). The rifle is extremely accurate and a delight to shoot. This rifle would be perfect for the King Of 2 Miles and can be rebarreled in 37XC on the same bolt face which has been proven to get out to 2 miles with ease.Priced to sell, £2350 + RFD TransferOr £3500 with Nightforce NXS 12-42x56 (Comes with box and instructions) and a set of Tier One 30mm ringsClick HERE for pictures! srvet
“but was not permitted a variation due to lack of experience “ Really!! If you are a full club member then you have good reason and as you are controlled by an RCO experience should not be an issue. I would ask for the decision to be clarified in writing and run this past your shooting organisation
DaveT
+1 re srvets post........I had a similar response initially to my 338 variation....it being described as 'the bad 338' ! I protested with club help and got my variation. Don't let them make law on the hoof!
