Got in touch with Col48(top bloke) had a bit of a chat and then sent my factory rifle off for a bit of tlc. Here's what I got back a few weeks ago; Lother Walther 1400 fluted barrel 23" 1 in 10 twist, Mcmillan Sako stock, Fluted bolt, Badger bolt knob, Bedding job, I added my Swaro Z6i 2-12x50 and PES T12 scout and my stalking set up was ready for action. I was supposed to be getting out after a few Fallow with it tonight but, the fog put pay to that. I'm using 130grn CT ballistic tips and N160 and she shoots a treat, will get some grouping pics up when I get some load development done. col48 Posted December 14, 2008 Report Share Posted December 14, 2008 Hi Andy you forgot the invisible end cap (thread protector) and the vapour blasted barrel. this matches the action colour virtually perfect.and that barrel and rifle combination is just right for a stalking rifle.my next 270 barrel on one of my own rifles will be a #1400 fluted, this combo will take some beating as the rifle is very very nice to handle. i can feel a 6.5x55 on the cards glad you like her & speak soon ATB Colin Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
