Guest Tiff
I've picked up an immaculate wooden stocked Savage 110 (long action) in .308 for £150! I've sorted the barrel channel and am now looking at bedding it. So wheres the best place to get Marine-Tex?
Ronin
Er Devcon Plastic Steel Putty A is far nicer to use (less runny). Well IMHO anyway J&L Industrial.

baldie
never understood the american preoccupation with marine tex either ? I,m with Ronin and Chris, i use devcon in the shop, plus the 5 minute devcon is great gear for setting pillars, aluminium spacers in mags, etc. I have used loctite hysol on several of my own guns too, and its great. Its easier to mix, as its 50/50.Devcon needs to be weighed really. we tend to get ours from cromwell, as we have one near, and their van delivers the next day. col48
the ones i have done have been done with Devcon Steel /devcon/ or devcon titanium. i all so set the pillars with 5 minuet adhesive, just enough to hold the pillars in place. you have to weigh it, and you really should be using the one with the smallest shrinkage.after all you are after a touch fit ATB Colin
