Brings back a couple of memories - a whole bunch of years ago I spent 2 years on exchange with the Canucks; first memory was collecting a visiting pal from the airport and promising sight of moose; 12hrs drive later, first moose we saw was roadkill. Think about it; like the brown bear, a roadkill moose! Second is of my blokes; the province we were in had an exemption on loss of no-claims bonus if you could demonstrate your road accident was due to wildlife; consequently I'd occasionally find blokes on a Monday morning packing the radiator grills of cars they'd crashed (drunk on the weekend) with bits of dead animal -usually bits of animal that they'd got from Newfoundland soldiers (Newfies) who were, err, a little less conscious of 'close season' than everyone else!
