eldon
Presumably you mean TIM HANNAN's if so read on Far better service than I got the other week in person. Turned up friday afternoon at 3.30 with licence for some primers. Woman said we shut at 2.30 so I said i only want some primers and dont want any change I will just buy a round cash amount. Sorry you will have to come back some other time. Ok What time are you open in the morning ( saturday) Oh we dont open saturdays ummmm Which night is your late night opening Dont have one So when can you serve me as I could do with a few things actually? Blank look on face . So I said Without time off work I can't buy any thing from you can I? Is this good customer service, luckily or unluckily I only live a few miles down the road. If only sometimes I could find good service I wouldn't mind paying a bit more.
londonhunter
I use Reloading Solutions in Oxford Polite Knowledgeable have most things I need in stock fair prices ONE STOP SHOPPING ................. what more can I ask for ?
Redfox
I agree with both of the last posts. I do go to Hannams but make sure I dont arrive near lunch time and phone the order through first so it is out and ready, that usually gets a smooth passage but I have to say Hannam himself doesnt really care anymore he has made his money already, just keep in mind to ring first. RSD are always helpful and quick on posting I have used them for years, the prices are normally competitive too. Just remeber Oxfordshire are one of the negative FLdepts and expanders have to go to an RFD, I have an arrangement with the local one and order expanders at the same time they do so the carriage is cheaper. londonhunter
Just a good tip If you have a clay pigeon shooting ground near you make sure you are on their good books. If you are ordering expanding projectiles from Reloading Solutions they can send your powder and expanding heads to the shooting ground for you to collect. Just my 02 cents londonhunter 09/12/08 Their new showroom is now open for visitors and always have new goodies.................................. eldon
Redfox I think you hit the nail on the head or maybe he just doesn't care full stop? The funny thing is I can buy his goods from a local shop but their stock levels are crap and they can always get you them. Again service is diabolical, rang up asking for vit 140 picture the following phone conversation yes I think weve got some Well can you have a look to avoid a special trip well its on a shelf and I cant see it haven't you got any ladders not sure where they are Don't bother....... Or you could go to the other side of leeds and be told Were expecting a bullet delivery next week ok can you save me some no we don't do that Oh why not I will pay a deposit just give us a ring 1 week later not got them yet 2 weeks later same a month later explained I was fed up of this and were they going to save me some or not when they eventually turn up. Oh ok then. (talk about doing me a favour) DO THESE SHOPS NOT WANT CUSTOMERS. My buddy and I now just buy on sight and agreed we would take them off each other as and when. Ronin
Agreed LH RLS is a very good place for all your needs, a quick phone call usually turns into a long one if Afthab answers - one of the most pleasant people you could ever deal with. Good service, friendly and reasonable price (as you have already said) Perhaps we should create a sticky on here of decent places and one to avoid? bobt
The last time I went to Tim hannans I got a cuppa, It all depends how you treat people. I call in mid afternoon, and chat to them, they really prefer mail order as they are not set up as a retail shop.
