Oly
I was just wondering if anyone has any good loads for 55gn Nosler Ballistic Tips using H414 powder in .243Win? If you could let me know what twist rate barrel your running the load through too it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Oly
Oly
Just been out trying a few loads - 52.5gns of H414 packed tightly (not quite a compression load!) worked the best in my 1 in 9 1/8 twist barrel...one hole group at 100 yrds - very happy! Oly
Oh you know those litigation scared powder manufacturers!! I only went as high as what is stated on the Nosler site - 52.5gn, 3982ft/s & 97% load density - http://www.nosler.com/?p=15&b=6mm&s=101 On Reloader's Nest there are some putting 56gns in! AndyCM
Hi Oly, Sounds like a great load you have there, what overall length did you end up with for those little 55g's ? Cheers Andy
Oly
Can't remember the OAL of the top of my head as I simply work to ensuring that the jump to the lands is 0.040 (that's 3.248 AOL including the comparator) - as that is what my Remington 700VLS with stock barrel & action prefers.
