Guest varmartin Posted November 16, 2008 Report Share Posted November 16, 2008 Went out this afternoon with Silentsoles and our rifles for a play and to test our new stocks... silents is on his Rem 700 300winnie and mine is on my Rem 700 6BR. The stocks in question are both Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist stocks from Northwest Custom Parts.... I Received it on Sat morning and had it fitted in a couple of hours....( Had to open up the barrel channel just a bit ) I will give a full report in the near future...but for now I will say first impressions are very very good. Sorry about the low Q images...off my phone !! 5x 3 shot groups of 90 bergers over 30.5 grns V140 10 thou in the lands Just to test it out. Silents Monster 300 winmag on his bench setup. When I spoke to Silent the other day he said how well he was getting on with one, that probably helped make your mind up. Not trying to be rude but what sort of cost are they. ( see the groups x 3 shots ) 2 x pieces of ply bonded and screwed together. 3 x leg fixings from Ebay usa ( search for `benchrest` ) may still be available about £25.00 ish 3 x taper cut threaded gas pipe legs. Silent has bedded his, i have yet to do my stock but will as his turned out very nice . Dont get me wrong as i think it is not necc on a Ali bedding block design....but belt and brasses and all that ( if done correct of cause ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
