i have got my first partridge day tommorow , praying for no rain

 

my arse is beginning to nip up

Just remeber they are not going as fast as you think they are ( if that makes sense :rolleyes: ) - because they are a small bird, they seem to be flying quite fast but really aren't.

Cartridge wise, you will shoot ok with 7.5's and with a 1/4 or open chokes :rolleyes:

you missunderstand me tullyuk i am a keeper so hopefully i wont neeed to shoot the bloody things , the guns can do that.

well tbh we struggled, it was only a sort of partridge stir up day

 

any way i wanted betwean 100-120, we ended up with 76 partridge 1 fox 9 embarrasing 0 1 rabbit (pinned by a picker upers dog0 and abut 15 pheasants

 

the wind was so strong at times that we had to do 3 drives backwards

 

when i fed this morning i was pleased to see a fair bit of suff milling around

 

i need to get 250+ on the next day for my own satisfaction

 

luckly we only shoot every fourtnight
