Davy
Can anyone recognise this model of Heidenhain DRO and even better tell me how it works please, It is fitted to a 9x42 Textron built Bridgeport Milling machine.I am used to DRO's however nothing this old so any tips or information would be gratefully received. All I can say is it is not a VRZ 710C

MrCetrizine
it really looks like a VRZ710 Manual available here... http://content.heidenhain.de/doku/oma_vrz/html/en/index.html
Davy
Thanks all for the links, I have also dropped Heidenhain UK an email however it looks closer to a VRZ 613 2 Axis model. I was curious about the Memofix function and it looks like I can reference datums albeit in a limited fashion. It seems remarkably accurate for such old and basic technology. Davy
The model has been confirmed as a VRZ 731B by Heidenhain UK who also provided a manual. Apparently this was original fitment on some of the Bridgeport BR2J2 Milling machines.
