I've found the 223 ammo works reasonably well but much better when reloaded.

Annoyingly Prvi Partizan don't appear to produce ammo for 260 Rem.

No European ammunition manufacturer loads the 260 (with the exception of Swiss / German RUAG which loads it under contract for the US market for the Prime Ammunition company but doesn't sell it in Europe under its own name or any other). Norma and Lapua both make brass for the handloader and in Norma's case for other ammo manufacturers. In the USA, its largest supplier of commercial sporting ammunition and brass, Winchester, has never produced either brass or loaded ammunition for this cartridge.

 

Snipers Hide forum members allege that Remington hasn't produced either ammo or brass for the cartridge during the last two years and say it's almost impossible to find either of this make in American gunshops now.

I got a couple of bags or Remington 260 brass off egun.de last year but haven't seen any since, I had it on back order at MidwayUSA but it now says Remington have discontinued it.

 

The only brand in stock is Lapua, Norma and Nosler both say "No Backorder"

 

Luckily it's pretty easy to re-form from 243, 308 or 7-08 cases
