mike82
Guys, I'm thinking of selling my Remington 700 Police 26" in .308 (which I bought new last year) and buying a Ruger Precision Rifle in lieu of, should I do it? Mike

mike82
do I need to send my FAC back to re-open the .308 slot once I've sold my Remington? How does it work?
gbal
do I need to send my FAC back to re-open the .308 slot once I've sold my Remington? How does it work? It's very straightforward ('one for one',essentially,is the unofficial term) but: Phone your FLO,and follow proceedure (and instructions on FAC). gbal
20series
Yes, you send your fac back within 7 days and ask for a 1 for 1 variation requiring a 308/7.62 slot and it will be free of charge Alan
mike82
FAC is with the police atm, having a variation applied for .223 and .44BP pistol. Can they allocate a spare (temp) slot for another .308 so I can purchase and then sell the remington? If so I can call them up to arrange while they have it. Jager223
I could be tempted into buying your 700P if you don't have a buyer lined up.
