Tikka
Hi Guys, Does anyone have a good pet load for .243Win and 75gn VMax. I've used H414 & Fed 210 primers for a while but it just doesn't give me the repeatability that I want (and it's mucky!), so I'm looking for other powder/primer combinations. All help much appreciated.
stag1933
Hi. For my Sako HB Varminter and Tikka T3 Hunter I use 40.5gr of Vit. N140, Federal GM210M primer in RWS/Geco or RP brass. This is with the 75gr V.Max bullet, this load is approaching maximum so start lower and work up. HWH.
Redfox
Another accurate load which I have used for years is 48gr H4831, CCI benchrest 200Primer, RP Case and 75gr Vmax or 75gr Speer hollow point ( not the TNT as it is too fast for the light construction bullet) and .030" off the lands. Gives .5 moa in my sako and is very devastating on varmints. Start at about 46.5 grs and dont get too close to the lands, there is no need and pressure rises rapidly when you get close. Guest northernchris
Varget and CCI BR primers get very good results
Streeker59
My most accurate load is 40 grn Vit N150 under a Sierra or Hornady 75 grn hollow point flat based varmint bullet. Lap brass and fed gold primers.. Either bullet is length tolerant though i seat em to 20 thou off lands..

snap_shot
This is all good stuff lads, thankyou for your feedback. None of the gunshops round here are very good with their choice of reloading stuff (Even Norman Clark doesn't have N140 or 75gn VMax in stock) so it looks like a shopping trip is in order at the CLA on Saturday..... try this mate.........hovering around 1/2 inch for me in both loads.............this is only initial testing too...... COL 2.640" as per hornady reloading manual 36 grains varget with rem 9 1/2 primers 38 grains varget..... as above primers........... accurate right from the word go with no tweeking in oal yet.......
