blaser308 Posted January 30, 2016 Report Share Posted January 30, 2016 After removing the firing pin assembly from my model s barnard bolt by hand so i can get measurement to Lands when closing bolt however after reassembling the bolt seems to feel much stiffer upon extraction also the primer strike pressure seems to have greatly increased would appreciate any info with assembly with bolt, thanks. provarmint Posted January 30, 2016 Report Share Posted January 30, 2016 The firing pin spring controls strike and cocking force, not sure how it's so different after stripping, just done mine and re assembled, no different. Grum87 Posted January 30, 2016 Report Share Posted January 30, 2016 Do the barnards not have an adjustable firing pin strike depth? You havent changed this while stripping and reassembling have you? Im not 100% familliar with dissassembly/rebuild of them, but I have shot a club mates and recall him having similar trouble one day, that he put down to firing pin depth/spring tension.
