Toby
I have just secured a Sako M591 Varmint in 22-250 Rem. I intend to get it rebarreled to 6mm BR as a fox/roe/target rifle. I am pretty much decided on a LW stainless 1-8" barrel with original Sako varmint length and profile, screwcut 18x1 for a Jet Z CQB. Looking at shooting Lapua brass (no turn neck) factory rounds to obtain brass and then Nosler 70 BT or Hornady VMax 87 grains for live quarry. Forster FL die and Wilson seater. Any advice on the build or about 6BR in general welcome. I have been on 6mmBR website alot reading up. I know that Laurie Holland has written som good articles on reloading but haven't managed to find them all yet. Have a great xmas guys!

gbal
Yes,looks good. You might try,and indeed need, target rounds like Lapua Scenar 90 and 105g;Sierra 107 MK;Berger 105 Hybrid and target (VLD can be fussy); any of the 68g 'bench rest' bullets;probably the sierra 95 TMK. In general, the heavier, higher BC target bullets are better as distance increases. It is indeeed an impressive cartridge, and a pleasure to shoot-with excellent performance. 3 shot 1/4 moa at 100 would not be exceptional, but don't expect world records at 1000y if there is any wind. gbal
