Finman
Fresh off the press...if you think it'll not affect us, best think again... http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-15-6110_en.htm
ds1
Yup, this will f@ck me if it goes through. Has anyone any informed insight into this..........seems like a bunch of EU, commissioners ( burka wearing lesbians and faggots) have just decided what everyone can and cannot do? At the moment it reads like thus is a proposal........and therefore needs member states to vote on it?.....is this likely to be passed?
MrCetrizine
It is just a proposal that needs to be voted on. I can't see it passing as many member states have a long history of shooting sports and little to no firearms related problems. Finland have already opposed it. I'm sure others will too. Finman
...and, in light of recent events, do we seriously believe that there will be many voting against these measures?
MrCetrizine
If they look at the financial implications they will. The compensation alone would cripple the economies of some of the more fragile EU member states.
ds1
timing....hence this proposal being pushed forward. It also seems to mix anti-terrorist measures with firearms legislation. Maybe on the other hand what you take it away you have to pay for ......compensation, I contacted LEX - the cz version of NRA or something like that. They seemed to think only a small chance of the proposal going through........they mentioned the Czech and Germans were opposed.
