Scrumbag
Hello folks, A couple of people have very kindly helped me in suggesting a 1,000 yd load but I thought I'd throw it out to the wider forum. In short, I'm looking for a 1,000yd target load out of my 7x64 with a 600mm barrel. Thinking 162gr Amax of 168gr VLDs but would welcome other suggestions and also some load data. Cumbrian 1
I use 168 gr VLDs seated so they are just off the lands, with 52.5 grains of H4350 that produce 2715 fps. (norma case CCI LR primer) My barrel is a 26" Kreiger 8.5 twist.

Cumbrian 1
Sorry to Hi-jack your thread, but dont suppose anyone has any data for 140gn and H4350? I have always used the .280 Remington data as a starting point and have had no problems, if you are loading your bullets well out then the increase in case capacity normally means that you can increase the load above the stated max. The maximum charge of H4350 in the reloading manual wouldn't produce enough pressure to seal the case in my 7x64! (As always start low and increase your loads gradually checking for signs of excess pressure etc)
Scrumbag
Thanks for that buddy. Think I have a combo I'm going to be happy with... 162gr Amax and N160 looks good. Either way, should be fun as a first foray into reloading...
