20series
Depending on your budget, but Sightron S111 in 8-32x56 with MOA reticle sounds like what you need, I think about they're £850 http://www.aimfieldsports.com/siiiss-6-24x50-lrmoa-152-p.asp Alan
Elwood
On a budget, Sightron Not on a budget, March. Get as much magnification as you can, it's there if you need it, personally I use 40 power from 300-1000 yards.
gbal
The more use is target, the more usual the choice is second focal plane,moa-and high mag.Chose reticule with care. Night Force are popular (used if on a budget; Sightron are good too.) Doesn't sound like low light stalking or 'tactical/precision' is main use-there is a case for first focal plane/mil for mid range targets at variable distances, especially for fast target engagement. gazzar15
I wouldnt really class Nightforce as a budget scope ?
gbal
I wouldnt really class Nightforce as a budget scope ? Gaz, OP didn't say 'budget',but I did say Used NF is an option IF on a budget-for roughly Sightron new prices.I'd go for a used 12-42 NF (in fact I did, four times) though NSX side focus would be nice, that would cost more-and -as with most scope features-depends on useage (not needed on fixed distance ranges,eg,most useful for varminting 2-450y). 8-25 Leupolds would be down to maybe £650-used-still not really 'budget'-but for 1000y,really cheap won't hack it.There is quite a subjective element too. g
