US "bolt action" straight pull ARs

Just googling to see if tubb-type AR uppers existed that could be placed on conventional AR lowers.

 

My searches threw up the fact that it seems that the US is awash with straight pull ARs:

Nice, but those are no different from all the UK designs of straight pulls. We could do with a proper tube gun supplier in the UK for all those 700s and T3s that are knocking around.

 

I like the way that POF thinks that they can patent fluted chambers!

More seriously,much of this retro-engineering will relate to attempts to bypass "AR lower platform is semi auto compatible aka assault rifle configuration" and thus run foul of increasing multi state/fed restrictions?

 

All seems a bit deja vu?

 

It might even "trigger" a lever release design.
